I am reproducing an item from "World Briefs" headed "Calvin Klein rapped" published in The Times (August 22): "A Calvin Klein poster, which featured a kissing semi-naked couple, was too sexually explicit to be shown on British billboards. The Advertising Standard Authority said yesterday it had received dozens of complaints about the poster, which showed the couple naked from the waist up kissing".

In the UK, the Advertising Standard Authority is responsible, in Malta the responsibility is shared by the Commissioner of Police and the Malta Environment and Planning Authority but no one seems to be accountable.
