I read in The Times that a number of mini-councils will be set up. I appeal to the authorities to consider setting up such a council for Qawra which is quite distant and separate from St Paul's Bay and with its own specific needs and problems - especially during the summer when the number of residents goes up dramatically.

In the past many were the Qawra residents who wrote to express their concern that the specific needs of Qawra were not being properly looked into by the St Paul's Bay local council. This was the case especially during past councils and it is still the case nowadays unfortunately.

Now is the time for this unfortunate state of affairs to be rectified. We can hardly afford to leave such an important touristic centre without its own proper local council team.

Could Chris Said please consider this request? Surely, if there is going to be a mini-council for Fleur de Lys, etc. why not one for Qawra?
