A Gzira man was yesterday charged with wilfully damaging his wife`s car.

Anthony Zammit, 34, pleaded guilty to causing less than Lm50 in damages to Jacqueline Zammit`s car, breaching the peace and swearing in public in Birkirkara on April 3, 2002 at about 11 p.m.

Magistrate Antonio Mizzi put off the case for judgement after hearing Zammit offer to pay for the damage he caused.

Police Inspector Mario Bonello prosecuted.
