Alan Kyle and Joy Ghoseroy opened the batting for Overseas. They were on top of the bowlers until Kyle was hit on the glove from a rising ball and had to retire. He made 16 runs.
Ghoseroy was next to go in the following over when he was trapped lbw following a Hewitt delivery. In the next 11 overs Sunny Krishna and brother Sagar put on 44 runs. Sunny was caught trying to hit a big shot and only managing to sky the ball. For his part, Sagar made 32 runs.
Pierre Naudi, who had not played for 18 months, batted and made four runs. Andy Cole, also returning after two years, batted and managed one run. Nick Khosla made 12 as Overseas were bowled out in the 19th over for 113 runs.
For Marsa, Sarfraz Ali took three wickets for 25 runs and Mike Caruana took two for 13.
Marsa's reply started off well with Ronnie Sacco hitting the first four of the day in the first over in Marsa's innings. Then, Sagar Krishna bowled an extremely good first ball and clean bowled Sacco for five runs.
Mark G. Sacco and Robert Krishna then put on a 104-run partnership taking the score to 111. Krishna was caught at backward point for 27 by Tony Slater. Mark G. Sacco was unbeaten on 44.
