Wistin Camilleri monument unveiled

A monument to Wistin Camilleri was recently unveiled at the Wistin Camilleri Centre for Arts and Crafts, Għajnsielem. Last month the centre commemorated the 20th anniversary of its foundation and the 30th anniversary of the death of Wistin Camilleri.

A monument to Wistin Camilleri was recently unveiled at the Wistin Camilleri Centre for Arts and Crafts, Għajnsielem.

Last month the centre commemorated the 20th anniversary of its foundation and the 30th anniversary of the death of Wistin Camilleri. The monument was made by Wistin's son Alfred Camilleri Cauchi, while the pedestal was constructed by Emanuel Saliba.

People present for the inauguration later visited the new part of the centre, which was built through a project co-financed by European funds. They were able to see the courses being taught at various workshops.

An exhibition of students' works was also put on.
