A 31-year-old woman from Siggiewi died last night when her vehicle was involved in a horrific accident on the Siggiewi bypass.

The woman's Toyota Vitz is believed to have crashed into a pole, a parked car and a wall before ending up in the middle of the road.

The woman was pulled out of the wreck of her car by members of the Civil Protection Department and rushed to hospital where she passed away some hours later.

A magisterial inquiry is under way.
