Woman, 70, seriously injured in Mġarr traffic accident

Accident reported at 9.30am on Triq iż-Żebbiegħ

A 70-year-old woman was seriously injured when hit by a car on Triq iż-Żebbiegħ, Mġarr, on Monday morning.

The police said the accident, which was reported at 9.30am, involved a Ford Transit driven by a 39-year-old man from Mġarr.

The woman, from Mġarr was given first aid on site and rushed to Mater Dei Hospital.

A magisterial inquiry and police investigations are ongoing.
