A one-year-old baby and a 20-year-old woman from Marsaskala were hospitalised this afternoon when the car the woman was driving overturned.

Although details about their medical condition were not made available, neither victim is believed to have been critically injured. 

The police said the accident happened in Triq il-Qlajjiet, Marsaskala at 1.30pm.

The Civil Protection Department were called to help get the woman and baby out of the car. They were then taken to hospital by ambulance.
