N.C.W. is pleased to note that for the first time a woman will be receiving training at the Malta Shipyards. More awareness should be raised among parents, educationalists and employers to encourage women to move away from traditionally female work opportunities and take up apprenticeship schemes in what are usually considered a man's domain - both within the parastatal and private sectors.
