A considerable amount of money was stolen this evening after three men forced their way into the home of a 61-year-old woman in Zebbug.

The incident happened at about 7 p.m. in High Street.

The police reported that somebody had knocked on the door of the woman's house. When she opened it, three persons barged in and one of them tied her up.

The men later escaped with a considerable sum of money, leaving the woman tied up.

She was later rescued by her brother when he came home. The woman was not injured.
