Young woman injured as boathouse roof collapses

The incident happened in Ġnejna Bay

A young woman was injured when the roof of a boathouse collapsed in Ġnejna Bay on Sunday.

The incident happened at around 6.15pm. The roof collapsed as the woman, 17 from Mġarr, walked on it.

She was rescued by a team from the Civil Protection Department who accessed the site by boat.

The woman was taken to hospital for treatment, suffering serious injuries, police said.
