Woman's plea against eviction

A Valletta woman yesterday called on the director of social housing not to evict her and her three children from a flat in Fountain Street because they had no alternative accommodation.

Carmen Agius filed a judicial protest in the Civil Court claiming she had learnt that administration procedures for eviction were about to be taken.

She said this would be an injustice and a breach of her fundamental human rights.

Dr Joseph Brincat signed the protest.
