Birkirkara FC won the KO trophy for the second time in three years on Wednesday evening thanks to a late Catherine Camilleri goal at the Centenary Stadium. The Stripes played a solid match throughout, especially in defence, and backed by the vociferous support of their numerous fans they denied Hibernians from chalking up their second double in successive seasons. At the end of the match, Malta FA vice-president John Farrugia presented the cup to the Birkirkara clan.
