It is so refreshing to experience Pjazza San Ġorġ. The government did a wonderful job in giving Valletta such a breath of fresh air with a neutral open space in which the beauty of the Palace magnifies itself.

I am confident that this square will be a hub in our capital where shoppers will walk down Republic Street to experience its beauty each time they visit Valletta. Finally we have a square which can be enjoyed by the public and not by cars.

The renovation project at the square is the first major step to Valletta's overhaul. This overhaul will restore its much needed dignity and this architectural jewel will shine as never before.

The water feature in St George's Square is truly magnificent. Not only does the dancing fountain relax you but the show is the best tribute Malta could give to the late Mro Charles Camilleri.

His love for the Maltese islands through music will now be enjoyed by his fellow citizens and tourists alike. A great initiative indeed!
