Work on contract on schedule

Windsor Co. Ltd has completed the first phase of a contract it was awarded earlier this year for the Corinthia Towers Hotel in Prague.

The contract consists of the manufacture and supply of Winrest orthopaedic mattresses, beds, lined curtains and fitted bedspreads for all 16 floors of the hotel.

The contract is split in three phases, with the second phase to be completed by December 2002 and the third phase in 2003. All the floors of Corinthia Towers Hotel Prague would have been refurbished by 2003.

Windsor said the contract was a breakthrough although the company has been furnishing various hotels in Malta for a long time.

It is the first time that it succeeded to acquire this kind of prestigious contract abroad.

Anthony Galea, managing director of Windsor Co. Ltd, said they competed for the contract with foreign companies and succeeded to beat all on quality as well as price.

However, he insisted that most of this merit went to the Corinthia Group who were also keen to see local manufacture expand overseas, and assisted Windsor in order to obtain the important contract.
