25-year-old Turkish worker dies following two-storey fall
A 25-year-old worker died on Wednesday when he fell at db Group's major construction site in Pembroke.
The Turkish man was working on project on Triq Pietru Darmenia when the accident happened at about 7.45am.
Police said he fell from a height of two storeys and died immediately.
Magistrate Joe Mifsud is holding an inquiry and The Occupational Health and Safety Authority is also investigating.

"The db Group is, and will continue to, fully collaborate with the respective investigating authorities. The Group also pledges its full support to the victim’s family and colleagues," it said.
The company is currently building a large-scale hotel, residential and commercial project at the St George's Bay site.

There were just over 1,000 non-fatal accidents at work over the same period, with the highest proportion taking place in the manufacturing and construction sectors, each accounting for almost 14 per cent of the total.
