A worker was grievously injured in an occupational accident at a construction site in Għargħur on Wednesday.

The police said the accident happened in Triq Santa Katerina at 8.30am.

They said it seemed that part of a wall had fallen on the 37-year-old man, who lives in Mtarfa, while he was carrying out construction work.

The police are investigating.
