The Union Haddiema Maghqudin yesterday said it had not accepted the Malta Environment and Planning Authority proposals on the assimilation of Environment Protection Department employees in MEPA's structures.

The UHM said it had informed the MEPA management that the way department workers had been assimilated had created a number of anomalies and injustices in their regard.

The union has not accepted the appointments given to the workers and has called on MEPA to embark on negotiations to rectify the situation.

It has also instructed workers not to accept the appointments offered to them at this stage.

It said negotiations on this issue and any others had to be carried out exclusively with the UHM.
