Workers hurt as scaffolding collapses at recycling facility

The OHSA is investigating the accident

Three workers were injured when scaffolding collapsed at a waste recycling yard in Marsa on Tuesday afternoon.

The accident happened at about 3.45pm at Zero Waste Recycling in Valletta Road.

People on the scene reported seeing several ambulances at the scene opposite Burmarrad Commercials.

The police said the injured men are aged 40, 27 and 23, all of St Paul's Bay. The injuries are not thought to be serious. 

Officials from the Occupational Health and Safety Authority and the police were on site.
