I refer to the letter Desert Storm (June 9).

The Water Services Corporation outsourced the necessary works to a contractor who is bound to make the necessary road deviation signs so as to minimise any inconvenience and ensure maximum safety at all times.

It seems that the said contractor has failed to observe these instructions. The corporation has already taken the necessary measures to ensure that this contractor erects the traffic signs immediately.

The WSC understands that such upgrading and maintenance works are bound to cause a certain amount of temporary inconvenience to the public, however the ultimate aim is to provide a better service to its consumers.
