A man who had not been seen since Wednesday, has been found, "safe and sound", the police said on Saturday afternoon.

Kareem Ouled el Hadj, 30, had left his Sliema residence that he shares with his mother Tania Pisani on Wednesday afternoon.

Pisani said she was "worried sick" after he did not return.

“He was meant only to go to Balutta, withdraw money from the ATM and come back, but I haven’t seen him since,” Pisani told Times of Malta.

She is appealing to anyone who might have any information about her 30-year-old son to come forward.

“I’m worried sick about him if you do (have any information) please contact me 99960944”.

Kareem Ouled el Hadj was wearing dark shorts and a similar coloured t-shirt with sandals when he left the house three days ago.

A police spokesperson confirmed that a report on the individual has been filed, adding that the police are making their inquiries.

They have also issued an appeal for his whereabouts, saying anyone with information may contact the police by calling 21224001 or the police emergency number 119.

Crisis Resolution Malta has made similar appeals.
