Will the person/s concerned at the Museum of Fine Arts kindly note that the painting loaned to St Sebastian parish for their recent celebrations is not of the sculptor, George Borg, as was the intention?

The painting loaned shows an elderly gentleman in specs with a bozzetto of the St Sebastian statue near him. This does not make him George Borg. This gentleman is a total stranger to me. I remember Uncle George’s portrait as a young man in his painting smock in his studio hanging in his dining room all my life, till it was donated to the museum with other artefacts. See the recent publication An encyclopaedia of artists with a Malta connection, by Albert Ganado and Antonio Espinosa Rodriguez.

I called personally twice at the museum asking to talk to the curator, his assistant or secretary. I was told to leave my name and number and I would be given an appointment. To date, I have been given no appointment, hence this letter.
