A bus driver has lamented over the moral state of the country after facing the wrath of passengers when she stopped the vehicle because a man was unconscious on the road.
In a Facebook post, Fontaine Pace said she did not know where the country was heading, with people's actions reflecting a heartless nation.
Ms Pace was about to drive off from a bus stop in Ħamrun when she saw an unconscious man on the road.
She stopped the bus on the side of the road and disembarked to see what had happened to him.
A man who was standing over him asked her to call for assistance, because he did not wish to use up the credit on his mobile phone.
She then phoned the police who told her they were on the way.
"What impressed me most was how the passengers came down from the bus to complain that I should get on with the trip as they were in a hurry. True, life has become fast paced, but have other matters become more important than a person's life?
"Where are human values, have we started closing our eyes to everything?"
Ms Pace told her passengers that if they were reading her post, they should be ashamed.
