Donald Cassar, 20, of Valletta, died in a motorcycle accident in Valletta Road, Attard, early yesterday morning.

The police said the accident happened at around 2.30 a.m. when the rider lost control of a Honda bike and crashed into a tree while driving towards Rabat. He died on the spot.

Mr Cassar was thrown off as the motorcycle skidded and hit a Mercedes on the other side of the road.

Duty Magistrate Denis Montebello appointed a team of experts to help in an inquiry.
