This year's second Children's Cinema Day, last Saturday, had the best attendance ever since the day was introduced in 2001, KRS Film Distributors said.

KRS said that cinema exhibitors reported that many of the film shows were full from early morning while others had better afternoon and evening performances.

The success of the day is attributed to the excellent line up of films chosen for the occasion which included no fewer than 14 pictures having a total of 157 performances.

The most popular films were Shrek 2 (U), Spider-Man 2 (PG), Garfield The Movie (U), I, Robot (U) and Catwoman (12).
