Bjorn Briffa, 21, of Dingli died in a traffic accident in Valletta Road, in the limits of Mdina, early yesterday.

The police said the accident occurred at about 1.40 a.m. when for some reason the driver lost control of his car and crashed into a tree.

He died on the spot.

Magistrate Dennis Montebello appointed a team of experts to help in the inquiry.

Rabat district police are investigating.
