Thomas Philip DeBono, 10, from St. Julians
Dear Junior News, my name is Thomas Philip DeBono. I am just 10 years old and I live in St. Julians. I go to St Edward's College and I am in Year 5X. My class teacher is Ms Gaby Borg. Last month, our music teacher, Ms Daniela Degiorgo, told us to write a short humorous story on how we think music began and draw a picture about it. As I play the violin, music interests me very much and I really enjoyed doing this homework. So, I thought I'd share it with you and your readers.

It's always fun when teachers think of something original for homework, Thomas. We think your idea about how music began is great fun and it is printed on page two. And you've won a Lm5 voucher and VIP Toyland's discount card for sending this week's star letter. Well done!

Dear Junior News, we are four Grade 5 students at San Lawrenz Primary School. Our teacher often brings the Junior News to school and we browse through it in our spare time. We are writing today as we would like to share with your readers an enjoyable experience we go through every week.

Mr Unsworth is an English resident in Gozo and he is our guest for about half an hour every Thursday. He is a cheerful and pleasant person and seems to know everything about any topic on Earth. So, together with our teacher, we discuss all kinds of topics with him, be it geography, earthquakes, history, hobbies, interesting films; you name it. He is always ready with interesting information.

Sometimes we go on the internet and read the Sky News. He would have seen the news that appeals to us.

We all look forward eagerly to his visits and when our teacher asked us what changes we would like to have in our class, we all said we would like to have Mr Unsworth more often.

We would like to take the opportunity to thank him for his interesting lessons, knowing he reads The Times daily.

We think your teacher deserves full marks for thinking of such an unusual way for you all to learn. Seeing and discussing things, especially with people who make them so interesting, is a wonderful way to do this. And it's exciting to know that Mr Unsworth might sometimes read Junior News online with you all too. Meanwhile we're happy to pass on your thanks, as we're pretty sure he'll be delighted with your letter.

• Send your letters, together with your full name, age and address to Junior News.

• The sender of the star letter wins a Lm5 voucher to exchange for toys plus a VIP 10 per cent discount card for all toys, from Toyland in Mosta.
