A 19-year-old youth was seriously injured in a car accident early yesterday morning.

The police said the accident happened at around 6 a.m. on the Marsa bypass when a Fiat Bravo driven by a 22-year-old woman hit a curb and overturned, crashing into another car in the process.

The young man who suffered serious injuries was a passenger in the Fiat Bravo.

An ambulance took the man to St Luke's Hospital where his condition was found to be stable. Hamrun district police are investigating.
