Youths recounted their experiences as volunteers in some of the poorest regions of the world when they yesterday met Archbishop Paul Cremona and Parliamentary Secretary Clyde Puli at the opening of Youth Week activities.

The activity, held at the old power station at Valletta Waterfront, attracted some 200 young people.

Mgr Cremona described the volunteers as the best ambassadors of the church and their country and praised them for their commitment and effort.

Mr Puli urged more young people to promote the spirit of solidarity and service.
