We have heard enough recently about abuses in Zabbar and Marsascala. However, these areas are not being monitored closely enough for abusers and drug dealers.

After having complained in vain to the Zabbar council several times about the abandoned playing fields in the St Peter's area of Zabbar, may I suggest that the government close it down as this place is being specifically used for all sorts of abuses. The main playing field at Zabbar, which is situated in front of the local council office and the police station, is being frequented by drug abusers and dealers even during the day; it should be locked after 8 p.m.

Furthermore, the abandoned property at Ta' Monita, where sexual abuse against minors allegedly took place, should be demolished.
