Glenn Buhagiar, 20, of Zabbar was fighting for his life yesterday after his car went out of control and crashed into a wall.
The crash took place at 4 a.m. at the boundary wall of a Dominican nuns' convent in Hompesch Road, Zabbar, right next door to a house where a Dominican priest, Fr Raymond Previ, a few days ago fell down a flight of stairs and died late on Friday.
Informed sources said Buhagiar was returning home from Paceville.
Members of the Civil Protection Department used cutting equipment to free him from the wreckage of his silver grey Lancer car. Earlier, policemen who were the first to arrive on the scene disconnected vehicle wires after smoke was seen coming out of the car. Dr Joseph Micallef Stafrace was appointed court expert to report on the accident.
