Zimbabwean opposition leader Morgan Tsvangirai was taken into custody and brought to a police station on Friday while campaigning for the June 27 presidential run-off, a Movement for Democratic Change spokesman said.

"(MDC) President Tsvangirai and other MDC leaders were detained again in Umzingwane. They are being taken to Esigodini police station," MDC spokesman Nelson Chamisa said in a statement.
