Balzan Youths yesterday signed Nigerian striker Anthony Evi Parker as their third foreign player.
Sandro Azzopardi, public relations officer at the Premier League club, confirmed to the Times that the registration papers of the 17-year-old player were filed at the MFA offices yesterday evening.
Azzopardi said that Balzan could register Evi Parker outside the two transfer windows as he is an amateur player and has not played for any other club this season.
The Nigerian forward last season played for Marsa in the Premier League. But in the close season, the Division One side decided to release him as they could only field one foreign player.
Balzan had been searching for a third foreigner for quite sometime after they had agreed to release Australian defender Tom Maric last September.
Evi Parker joins Bulgarian midfielder Nikolai Filipov and team skipper Jaroslav Marx, of the Czech Republic, as the club's foreign trio.
Evi Parker is expected to make his debut for his new club on Sunday when Balzan play Floriana at the Victor Tedesco Stadium.
