Choreographer, dancer and singer Alison White will be appearing at the Mediterranean Conference Centre, in Valletta along with her friends from the world of entertainment in a show called No Business Like Show Business, to celebrate 25 years of her dance studio in Malta.
The shows will be held on November 20 and 21, starting at 8 p.m.
Ms White made her home on the island when she married singer Renato and over the years has established a dance school and a name for glamorous productions and exciting dancing.
The weekend event will host around 200 performers and over 700 costumes and besides dancing and singing, will include performances by three top illusionists namely Brian Role, Vanni Pulé and Lorenzo.
Renato will also be joining in the celebration along with other top Maltese singers Paul Giordmaina, Claudette Pace, Helen Micallef, Mary Charles, Georgina, and Julie and Ludwig while Sarah Mercieca and her troupe of hip hop and break dancers will also take the stage.
Those present will also see the return of the Guys in Disguise, John Williams and Keith Mills to the island.
Both Mr Williams and Mr Mills are well known drag artistes who have worked all over the world and first met Ms White in the 1980s when she choreographed numbers for their shows and in return they introduced her to the glamorous side of costume. In fact, Ms White became an honorary Guy in Disguise when one of the team was sick. This time the guys, in all their glamour, will be singing and dancing with Ms White in numbers from the musical Chicago.
Sue Rathegber, a teacher and choreographer with the Alison White Dance Studio for the past five years, will be choreographing a futuristic number from the film The Matrix with special effects by Surplus Adventure.
The show will have highlights of performances over the past 25 years. Children from the Guardian Angel school will be appearing, integrated with students from the Alison White Dance Studio.
Tickets for the dress circle are Lm9, stalls are Lm7.50 and gallery are Lm5.50 and may be purchased from the Mediterranean Conference Centre, Valletta as from Monday.
