Tarxien Rainbows Football Club have just inaugurated their new football ground after the place was extensively renovated and equipped with synthetic turf and a new lighting system.

The artificial grass installed is the Profoot 60 type, made by Lano Sports of Belgium. The turf is certified for professional use by both UEFA and FIFA. The lighting system, supplied by Abacus, is the first of its kind in Malta and designed to minimise light pollution.

Present for the occasion were various distinguished personalities including Urban Development Minister Jesmond Mugliett, a former Tarxien Rainbows FC president.

Such ambitious projects, he said, cannot materialise without the dedication and sacrifice of the committee members and the investment from the sponsors. The project was sponsored by Cassar Shiprepair Ltd.
