Martha Fenech of St Julian's has been crowned Miss World Malta. Sara Spiteri placed second, followed by Charlene Farrugia.

The 12th edition of the competition, which took place at Montekristo Estates, was organised by Modelle International. Twenty eight contestants displayed swimwear from J. Piccinino Ltd. Fenech will compete in the Miss World contest taking place in Kiev, Ukraine, on October 4.
