British Airways has won the Best Transatlantic Airline Award at the World Airline Awards 2009 which took place at the Aircraft Interiors Expo in Hamburg.
Apart from the Best Transatlantic Airline Award, British Airways also received top five placements in the following categories: Best Premium Economy, Best Business Class, Best Business Class Lounge and Best First Class Lounge for Heathrow.
The World Airline Awards™ are based on the World Airline Survey by Skytrax - carried out between August 2008 and March 2009. More than 16.2 million travellers participated in the survey over an eight month period with over 97 different passenger nationalities taking part.
The awards are recognised around the world, and renowned for being the only truly global, independent passenger survey of airline standards.
