Transport Malta said this afternoon that the footbridge in Aldo Moro Street, Marsa, which was damaged yesterday, has been reopened for pedestrians.

The footbridge was closed while it was inspected for damage. The road under the bridge was also closed for several hours yesterday, causing traffic misery for hundreds of motorists.

"Works to repair the damage caused to the footbridge will be carried out over the coming weeks," Transport Malta said. It gave no further details.
