English Premier League club Manchester City have established their first supporters branch in Malta.

The new fan club is based at the Cactus Bar, St Anthony Street, Buġibba, and with the co-operation of owner Paul Sammut, shows all televised City games on a big screen.

Sammut applied to Manchester City to house a supporters club in his bar after he realised there were many supporters, both ex pats and Maltese, who closely followed the team's fortunes.

The growing numbers of City fan is encouraging to make the first MCFC Supporters Club in Malta a success.

The supporters club is holding its first meeting for new members at the Cactus Bar on July 18.
