Lactose-intolerant people should not consume Halta whipped cream, described as a “sweet vegetable base UHT product”, because of the possible presence of milk proteins.

The Environmental Health Directorate said yesterday the cream came in 250ml spray cans and originated from Italy.

The directorate said the local trader was cooperating by labelling the cans with a warning to indicate the possible milk protein presence.
