A group of 17 students in Henley Business School’s Flexible Learning MBA programme recently travelled to the school’s Greenlands campus in Oxfordshire for a three-day starter workshop.
The intake, which included small business owners, IT and finance professionals and marketing and middle managers, was welcomed by Flexible Learning MBA programme director Mike Keighley.
The group participated in networking activities and were then led through a combination of Henley-designed study skills by Prof. Peter Race, the associate head of school.
Case studies were discussed at individual and group level in terms of critical thinking, reading skills and conceptual thinking skills.
The new group was also introduced to Henley’s online platform, Henley Connect, and the school’s online Academic Resource Centre.
Henley MBA local associate and programme director Lorenzo Mulè Stagno led the team-building sessions. Tim Osborne-Jones led a day of personal development workshops before the intake was separated into three learning teams for the duration of the three-year programme.
