Il-Ponta ta’ San Dimitri to il-Ponta ta’ Ħarrux

This area is particularly important for two bird colonies, about 400-500 pairs of Cory’s shearwater and 30-50 pairs of Yelkouan shearwater habitat within this area.The cliffs also offer adequate habitat to the Blue Rock Thrush.

Il-Ponta ta’ Ħarrux to il-Bajja tax-Xlendi

This stretch of cliffs between Il- Ponta ta’ Ħarrux and il-Bajja tax-Xlendi also includes Dwejra/Qawra area, Ħaġret il-General and il-Wied tal- Kantra in Xlendi area.

Id-Dawra tas-Sanap to tal-Ħajt

These cliffs offer habitat for two species of seabirds.

The stretch of area has nearly 300-500 pairs of Cory’s shearwater and 30 pairs of Yelkouan shearwater. This Natura 2000 site will be subject to the preparation of a management plan and/or legislation in the near future, as part of an EU-funded project that Mepa is undertaking for the management planning all the terrestrial Natura 2000 sites of the Maltese islands.
