UK border officials have seized cocaine worth up to £5 million from a boat which arrived in the UK from Colombia.

The UK Border Agency said 10 kilos worth of the drug were found during the unloading of the foreign-registered merchant boat at Hunterston Quay in Ayrshire yesterday.

Meanwhile, French police said yesterday they seized 150 kilos of cocaine - with a street value of around €10 million - hidden in ballet shoes that arrived in a Paris airport from the Dominican Republic.
