St Paul’s Bay council has just published a new colour map of St Paul’s Bay, depicting at least 64 archaeological and historical sites.

The map is the brainchild of Frans Scerri who came up with the idea about 15 years ago, but never came to fruition because of a lack of financial resources.

The map is organised in such a way as to identify and locate all the important sites to form a heritage trail which is easy to follow. Each site is numbered and can be found on the back of the map with a picture and a brief description.

Collaborating with the production of the map were Mr Scerri and artist Mario Portelli, while the Malta Tourism Authority and HSBC sponsored the map.

Copies of the map can be obtained from the council.
