Further to the release of its acclaimed 2010 album Despondent by Design, extreme metal act Loathe has kept itself busy gigging locally and abroad as well as writing new songs.
While the going has been good, it hasn’t stopped the band from going through its fair share of rough patches. The latest of these was revealed in the band’s latest newsletter, in which Loathe announced that the band and drummer Adam have parted ways due to musical reasons.
Nevertheless, as they clearly put it in their online missive, “we’re not in the habit of lying down and giving up, so expect us to make some more noise for you soon”.
The band also said they were searching for a drummer, adding that if anyone was interested in playing drums for Loathe, they should get in touch by sending an e-mail to loatheonline@gmail.com.
On a brighter note, Loathe also announced they would be playing a double-bill alongside local death metal maestros Beheaded at Rookies in Buġibba on April 1.
The gig will kick off around 5 p.m. and entrance is €7.
Loathe will be locking themselves away in the studio to focus on more new material and the recording of the band’s next release.
