Information on over 200 insects found in Malta features in the Entomological Society of Malta’s latest annual publication.
The publication records 88 species that were spotted for the first time around the Maltese islands, according to society president David Mifsud who is also the publication’s editor.
The society is a non-profit, educational and scientific organisation committed to promoting the science of entomology, furthering the scientific study of entomology and publishing relevant scientific information.
Over the past four years it has published detailed information on over 900 different species of insects on the Maltese islands, including two previously unknown to science.
The annual publication is supported by Bank of Valletta as part of its commitment to the environment.
