Italian singer Gigi D'Alessio enjoyed the day in Malta ahead of his concert with tenor Joseph Calleja on the Granaries in Floriana tonight.

He lunched at Ray's Lido in Little Armier, arriving in the bay by boat with a small entourage.

Wearing a bright orange hat and T-shirt, the renowned artist was not approached by anyone and enjoyed a relaxed time at the beach club.

Unfortunately, the boat to take him back to his yacht was not available when he finished eating as it was out pulling clients on a sausage ride.

D'Alessio was stranded on the beach for a little while, but he seems to have taken the wait in his stride.
