Berlin pupils were recently introduced to Malta and the Maltese language when the Maltese Embassy held a presentation to pupils in two public libraries in Berlin as part of activities marking the 11th European Day of Languages aimed at arousing interest in foreign languages and countries. A discussion on multilingualism was also held at the European Commission Representative Office.
