A nativity scene made up of 789 living figures came to life at De La Salle College this morning.

De La Salle Junior School students, staff, and their relatives attempted to break the Guinness World Record of the " Most living figures in a Nativity Scene"

These included a donkey and the youngest participant, baby Aidan Pawley who is only six weeks old. 

The current record of 743 and was achieved by the Welton Baptist Church and the Community of Midsomer Norton, in Midsomer Norton, UK, on 2 December 2011.

17 Stewards and a Public notary had the task of overseeing the event and will report to Guinness World Records for final approval.
