Last Tuesday, Gozo Bishop Mario Grech visited the Sacred Heart Minor Seminary in Victoria.

Mgr Grech met Form 1 students and presided over a celebration of the Word of God. Being World Book Day, Mgr Grech spoke about the importance of reading, especially the Bible.

The Bishop compared the Bible to a sack of good seeds that can only bear fruit if they fall on fertile soil. The Word of God can only bear fruit if it falls on a receptive heart.

Mgr Grech also visited Form 2, 3 and 4 students in their classrooms, where he discussed various topics with them, including the gift of life, the priestly vocation and existential questions about the problem of evil.

Mgr Grech also met teachers and learning support assistants.
